I first started dreaming about becoming a programmer in the late 80′s/early 90′s after seeing a Commodore 64 in action and later getting my hands on a friends old Sinclair ZX81.

I started my professional career as a Junior Programmer for an Australian software company after completing my University studies. I remained there for 8.5 years ultimately leading the development of one of Australia’s leading Web Content Management Systems – learning a hell of a lot about software development, project management and business in general along the way – before resigning my position as R&D Manager / Technical Lead in late 2008.

I now spend my time enjoying my beautiful family, music, the occasional game, a little freelance consulting work and new job (well not so new now), and have found myself with enough time to create a blog to share some thoughts and tidbits on programming / software development and solutions to problems for future reference.
